Oh, hello there! Grab a WIP (work in progress), maybe a glass of water, pop in some True Blood/Buffy/Game of Thrones/How I Met Your Mother and relax with me!
Cross stitch is my therapy and my relaxation from a long and stressful day in dental school. I learned how to stitch at 10 years old from watching my mom, who in turn learned by trial and error from a tiny kit she gave my sister. (I am 25 years old now, for some frame of reference). I finished my first project in college, however, and ever since I've become a stitching fiend. Upon entering dental school, stitching has become a part of my nightly and weekend schedule - otherwise I get cranky. You know how it is, enlightened reader, as you are a stitching/crafty/diy fiend yourself.
Just in the past year, I have discovered new designers (Mirabilia, Chatelaine, Alessandra Adelaide), I have started and finished beautiful projects, learned how to stretch and frame my needleworks and will be learning crazy new stitches! I can't wait! I'm sure I'll become a better blogger and photographer through Stitch, DMD.
You might be asking yourself "What is up with that name?" The "Stitch" is self explanatory. It is also the name of a strange, fiendish but adorable Disney character, but that is just a coincidence. "DMD" is my future degree- I will be graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine in May, so I guess my blog title is presumptuous. Please note that I will not be answering dentistry questions at all. It had to be said.
Can't wait to stitch all the things with you!
